The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) receives in audience and commends the management of the Armed Forces Casualty Trust Fund.
About Us
The Armed Forces Casualty Trust Fund, arose from the call by His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR on the good people of the world and more specifically on patriotic and well meaning Nigerians to join Government in the war to wipe out terrorism from Nigeria, a menace that has had devastating consequences on the social, economic and political well-being of the nation.
To arrest this menace and restore normalcy, the Nigerian Government has had to call on its Armed Forces to discharge its primary responsibility of protecting the Nation's territorial integrity and guarantee the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians.

In meeting this responsibility for the wellbeing of its citizens and defence of the Nation, the officers and men of the Armed Forces have continued to demonstrate a high sense of loyalty, patriotism, gallantry, commitment and sacrifice which has made them come under the enemies' gunfire resulting in casualties which has led to the incapacitation of some and the demise of others, thereby creating new frontiers of economic, social, physical, psychological and emotional challenges to the families of affected officers and men of the Armed Forces whose breadwinners can no longer provide for them or are no more.
